Her second book on India's missing soldiers of the 1971 and 1965 wars is a researched account that seeks to answer the question, what happened to these men. She has worked for over 25 years in various publications,such as Outlook newsmagazine, the Indian Express, The Hindu and the Hindustan Times, among others. She writes on politics and governance, defence, gender and human rights. Her last job was as an Associate Editor in The Indian Express. Nowadays, she writes for popular online news portals like the The Wire and Firstpost.

As the daughter, wife and mother of defence officers, she has lived most of her life in cantonment towns where the loss of soldiers in combat and the pain of their families and colleagues is an ever-present reality.

Sohrab Khandelwal known for his roles in webseries like Akoori (Zee5), Untouchable (JioTV) and movies such as Sardar ka Grandson, Upstarts , Jagga Jasoos (all on NETFLIX) is an actor, writer and a filmmaker. His debut film Que Sera Sera as an Auteur won several awards in film festivals across the world including the Best Feature at Bafta Qualifying Carmarthen Bay Film festival in Wales. Its based on his debut novel Que Sera Sera.

Aparna Piramal Raje is an award-winning writer, public speaker, educator and the author of the national bestseller Chemical Khichdi: How I Hacked My Mental Health, a book on her experiences of living with a serious mental health condition for the last two decades. Part memoir and part self-help, Chemical Khichdi presents a pathway for healing and recovery for anyone living with a mental health condition and all those who love and care for them.

Mrs Baljeet Singha is an accomplished sports person, academician and a poet. She has played seven nationals representing Punjab in basketball. Being an Army officer’s daughter or a Cantonment kid, She was anchored at the Sports School, Jalandhar to pursue her passion of basketball and athletics. Later She graduated from Kenya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar and was adjudged the best athlete of her university in her final year of BA. She married an army officer and was blessed with two sons, Rannvijay and Harman. Both her sons are actors and anchors in Bollywood. Rannvijay is a youth icon and Harman is a writer and producer of web entertainment.

Young Ballie Singha was multi- talented and besides other hobbies, learnt dress designing which She pursued later, opened her boutique and exported garments. As an army wife, she has been a driving force in welfare activities and has taught in various army schools and was finally the Principal of the primary school in Hissar. After her sons were settled, She took to poetry and has written two books in Hindi poetry, Aagaz and Ehsaas and is currently writing her third book.

Mrs Ballie Singha is widely travelled and has seen more than 30 countries along with her husband who has been seconded to the United Nations peacekeeping for two tenures. She has worked closely with the diplomatic community in Israel where her husband, Lt Gen was posted as Head of the Mission and Force Commander on Golan heights. On the Hindi day celebrations in Tel Aviv University, She was the Chief Guest an narrated her own poems. She sponsored the education of two economically deprived children of J & K in Rajauri- Poonch where her husband was posted twice. As the wife of the Colonel of the Regiment of Rajputana Rifles, She has been actively involved in welfare of families and Veer Naris. Through some commercial sports events, She has raised huge funds for AWWA when her husband was posted as a Director General in Delhi.

After retirement the Singhas have settled in Chandigarh and Mrs Ballie Singha has started playing good golf. She is also a member of Sahatiya Academy and Pens and Writes club. As a pay back to the society, Mrs Ballie Singha is hugely involved in a number philanthropic activities including education for the under privileged children.

Born in 1973, Dr. Aman Singh Maharaj lives in Durban, South Africa. Once a resident of KwaDukuza, he hails from the pioneering Pandit Dwarika Maharaj family, former owners of Magnets Garage. Considering himself to be a traveller with an avid interest in anthropology, he never ceases to be enthralled by the sheer kaleidoscope of cultures, diversity, and architectural marvels that the world has to offer. After graduating with an honours level degree in civil engineering, he continued with an MBA and then a PhD in the field of development studies, whilst working in a multitude of diverse professions, including as an engineer and an economist, before finally choosing to become an entrepreneur. He was the Principal of prestigious Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Dayanand College of Communication and Management, Chandigarh and Director Professional Studies, DAV College, Chandigarh. He was Peer Member of NAAC (UGC) for inspection of colleges. He has also worked as Technical Expert for selection of faculty for engineering and management subject with Haryana government and authored study material for Punjab Technical University as its subject expert.

Col. Her debut novel ‘Witness the Night” won the Costa Award for the Best first novel in the UK and Ireland and along with the trilogy is now being made into a web series. the She is the Chair of The Arts And Cultural Heritage Trust that set up the world’s first Partition Museum, at Town Hall, Amritsar, which has won seven awards. She has now set up the Partition Museum, the second in the world, at the Dara Shukoh Library in old Delhi. These are people’s museums, created entirely through donations. She also helped to set up the statue of Mahatma Gandhi outside Westminster in the UK.Her book “ Jallianwala Bagh, 1919: The Real Story”, which won critical acclaim, led to exhibitions in India, UK and New Zealand at the centenary of the massacre. Her play “Devika Rani, Goddess of the Silver Screen” has received standing ovations everywhere.

Kishwar has a deep interest in the visual medium and worked in television as an anchor/producer for over twenty years, with TV Today, NDTV, Doordarshan and others. She ran her own production house. She set up and was CEO of Tara Punjabi, and her last full time job was as Vice President, Zee Telefilms, running a channel.

She is at present working on a historical biography.

Amongst other awards, she has received the Distinguished Alumni Award, from her Alma Mater, LSR, in 2019, for work in Arts,Literature and modern Indian History.

As the Founder of Theatre of Joy, Harleen has dedicated the last 20 years to creating impactful community theatre workshops and productions, focusing on the transformative power of interactive theatre. Her podcast, also titled Theatre of Joy, serves as a platform to engage with artists, exploring their journeys in the performing arts.

She is also a seasoned corporate theatre trainer, helping companies enhance soft skills, invigorate workplace culture, and strengthen team bonds. Her passion for theatre education has led her to design and coordinate numerous "Theatre-in-Education" initiatives and community outreach programs, including Friends of Children Corner and Miljulke Sikhen, where she harnessed the power of storytelling, puppetry, and play to inspire children and educators. She has served as the Editor In-Chief for the magazine ‘Just So Rad’ and as a fashion, beauty and lifestyle columnist at PU Mirror, a student-run digital newspaper at Panjab University. She has won numerous prizes in writing, debate, elocution and academics.

Gursahiba has left an indelible mark on the theatrical stage. She has showcased her acting prowess in productions like "August: Osage County," directed by the renowned Zubin Mehta and staged at the prestigious Tagore Theatre in collaboration with the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi.

Her poetic journey is equally illustrious, having contributed to The Tribune and Hindustan Times as a young poet. She co-founded Mukhtalif, a poetry society dedicated to celebrating the written word, and has organized numerous poetry slams, providing a platform for budding poets. Not only has she shared her voice at TEDx conferences, but she’s also involved in meaningful initiatives, such as Mukhtalif's project to restore a library in Mosul, Iraq.

Zubin A. Mehta

Zubin A. Mehta

Zubin A. Mehta began his journey in theatre as a child actor in 1993. He traveled extensively across Punjab, India, collaborating with amateur theatre groups and performing in numerous plays in various Indian languages. As he grew older, his passion for the stage flourished, and he continued to act in theatre productions.

At the age of 19, Mehta ventured into directing plays for children and later founded Wings Theatre Academy in Chandigarh, India. For over 12 years, the academy has been dedicated to nurturing young talent, providing theatre training for children and young adults. The academy has staged acclaimed productions such as Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, Ayn Rand's The Night of January Sixteenth, an adaptation of Majid Majidi's Children of Heaven, and Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, among others.

In addition to directing, Mehta has also penned original plays, including The Last Kick, Fireball in a Ramlila Maidaan, The Troubled Trio, and Chinar, showcasing his versatility as a playwright.

Driven by a deepening interest in cinema, Mehta taught himself the art of filmmaking. His debut feature, Bus No. 7, was officially selected prestigious festivals such as the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival.
